Technical Arts has enjoyed a longstanding relationship of 12 continuous years with the internationally renowned Hard Rock brand. During this time, we have completed designs and delivered over 20 cafés and 4 hotels worldwide. With their resources spread across the globe, Hard Rock relies heavily on trusted designers and contractors to uphold their brand standards and provide an exceptional customer experience. We have partnered with the Hard Rock team in more than 20 countries and are proud to be the preferred design partner for their European hotel expansion programme.

The Café at Piccadilly Circus is their largest offering outside of the United States and boasts the largest retail area in their global portfolio. We were appointed to create an audio system that met their highest standards, catering not only to everyday use but also to hosting some of the world’s greatest live bands. The system was designed without compromise, with the opening night performance by ‘Keane’ proceeding smoothly without incident. The design and installation were not without their challenges: the proximity of the neighbouring Criterion Theatre, with its stage located just 5 metres away through two fire exits, meant that the audio had to be carefully controlled to minimise noise leakage into adjacent buildings.

As part of our brief, we were tasked with creating a striking feature above the staircase to draw customers into the space and guide them down the stairs. Our solution was an innovative design using segmented ribbons of video screens, displaying custom-curated content filmed specifically for the installation.
